Patil Institute of Technology & Research, Akluj was established in 2011 by Sahakar Maharashi Shankarrao Mohite Trust. This trust/society has been registered under Bombay Public Trust Act, 1950 in the office of assistant charity commissioner, Solapur. The institute is affiliated to Solapur University and approved by All India Council for Technical Education (AICTE), New Delhi.

  • The institute intends to provide the high level technical personnel who would shoulder the responsibility of being creative leaders in technology at the national as well as international level. The vision of the college is to develop the knowledgeable and cultured community academic and extracurricular activities with a focus on character development from the rural society.

Extra Curricular Activities :

As the basic policy of the institute is student-centered, the focus is on the overall development of the students. It is observed that most of the students learning in the institute are from rural background and they require the proper guidancewhile learning. To accomplish this need ; talented, enthusiastic and skilled faculty members from IIT, NIIT and other reputed institutes have been recruited.All the faculty members strive to involve the students in the learning process by motivating them.

The proper weightage is given to the theoretical as well as practical training of the students. Regular tests and their evaluation are conducted to check the growth of the students.They are guided accordingly. Extra and centralized attention is given to the weak students to bring them up to the level of the bright students. Regular industrial visits to the associated industries are organized for the industrial and professional experience. We motivate our staff and students to attend various workshops, seminars, conferences etc. for updated knowledge.

Different activities are conducted on regular basis in the institute like Students' feedback on monthly basis, Lectures on Power Point Presentation, Regular Term Test, Parents' meeting, Night class study facility, Expert lectures, Techfest etc.

Facilities :

Library : It is a central place for academic and research activities. Thus, the library at SMSMPITR acquires the prominent responsibility.It being a backbone of institute it aquire large number of national and international standard books.The library has reading room section of 200 student capacity. It has subscription of national and international journals and has compiled information from international journals.

Sports : The college reserves the 10 acres area for national level playground for sports activities. The college arranges various sports competitions such as football,volleyball,cricket,badminton,tennis etc. for the students.

 Apart from this college also organises sports events at different schools under chairmans guidance & at Vijaysinh Mohite Patil Krida sankul Akluj . At Vijaysinh Mohite Patil Krida Sankul has almost all National lavel playgrounds(Basket ball,football,cricket Etc...)

Cafeteria : The canteen in the college ensures healthy & hygienic food to each & every individual at affordable rate.Separate facilities are provided for both boys and girls.The student committee has been formed to check the quality of the food frequently.

Gymnasium : A well-equipped 'Gymnasium' managed by the college for the physical exercise of the students and staff which keeps them physically as well as mentally fit and enthusiastic throughout. It is equipped with the most sophisticated equipment. We have considered the importance of the healthy body and paid attention on this aspect.
