OIST offers B.Tech, M.Tech and MCA programs and is considered the top choice among IITJEE/MAT/Pre MCA candidates in the state. The institute offers seven different specialization options in engineering.

How to Apply for OIST Bhopal?

Candidates interested to secure admission at OIST, can apply either online or offline:

Online Process:

  • Application Forms can be accessed at the OIST website.
  • Complete the Application Form, pay application fee online and submit the form.
  • The online application fee is: INR 1,000/- for General and INR 600/- for SC/ST

Note: Please note that an additional INR 50 will be charged as processing fee.

Offline Process:

  1. Procure the application form from the OIST campus and complete the same.
  2. Pay the application fee online through authorized MP Online KIOSK or using a Credit/ Debit Card or Net Banking.
  3. Post the completed application form along with all the documents and payment confirmation document to OIST address.

OIST Bhopal Scholarships

According to data submitted for NIRF 2021, 24 OIST students receive full tuition fee reimbursement from the State and Central Government.

Ques. Is there are cut-off for the college-level counseling process?

Ans. No, there is no pre-defined cut-off score for the CLC process at OIST. However, cut-offs are declared on the day of admission round to facilitate students who have registered for the CLC round.

Ans. The following documents need to be presented during the CLC round for admission consideration:

Ans. Fees at OIST can be paid either online or offline. If you are using online payment mode, you can pay your fees using net banking facilities. In case of offline payment mode, you need to get a Demand Draft issued in favor of the college and submit the same at the institute’s Accounts Office.

Ques. Do OIST have campus accommodation facilities?

Ans. Yes, the college has separate campus accommodation facilities for male and female students and includes meal facilities too. Campus accommodation comprises one hostel for boys and two for girls.

Remarks:

I take admitted to this college through jee mains and the mode of admission is through jee Mains I took admitted to the IT branch because the placement of IT is better than CSE in this college. If you scored 70-75 percentile in jee mains you can get admission to this college in the CSE branch.

Remarks:

Admission through JEE mains and MP DTE counselling. The application form is available on the MP DTE website and the application fee is around 1600. The admission process is very lengthy, need to decrease the process of admission time.

Candidate should have a 70 percent minimum in class 12th. Admission opens just after JEE mains exam. Candidate should have a good ranking in the JEE mains for admission as a good branch of engineering is required.

You need to score good percentile in JEE about 60 percentile, obc sc sr get extra benefit in fees and there is a reservation for them, as I'm obc I get a 29k scholarship, and online counseling is done for admission

Admission is on the base of jee, you have to score a minimum 50 to 60 percentile in jee to get admission to oist college. The tuition Fee of this college is 96k. Obc and SC St will get scholarships obc will get 29k and SC St will get 1 lakh. Admission is done through online counseling.

Remarks:

I got admission through mpdte counseling based on JEE Mains percentile, the admission process was quite simple. You can also apply for counseling directly from the college. For AIML you will get admission to the 50 percentile easily.

Remarks:

The admission process I went through was quite straightforward. I took Joint Entrance Exam (JEE) to get admission in the college. I had to fill up an online form and submit it with application fee. The cut off for my college was quite high and it was based on the marks I scored in JEE. I was able to get a seat due to my good score in the entrance exam. The information about the eligibility for the course, application form, application fee and application date was mentioned in the official website of the college . I found the application process and the procedure for admission very smooth. The only improvement I would like to see in the admission process is the availability of more information regarding the course and the college on the official website. This would help the students to get better understanding of the college and the course they are opting for.

In my college the admission process, it's based on the marks obtained in JEE Main exam scored by the students. For admission to my college the application form can be found on the official website of MP DTE counseling the buyer could share the data you can find the important dates regarding the admission on that site only. A tuition fee waiver can be availed if the student is eligible.

Among the above two institutes, LNCT Bhopal is a better choice than the Oriental Institute of Science & Technology, and the reasons supporting the choice are listed below. LNCT has a lot of discipline to be in the institute. During the initial days, this discipline will seem to be hectic but is sure to help the student for his/her development. It gives a sense of priority, makes the student hardworking, and teaches the importance of time. The institute follows the curriculum of the university strictly. The faculties in LNCT are excellent in both teaching engineering and giving life lessons to students. The institute has a world-class library. The management of LNCT is quite supportive, with no problems of partiality.  LNCT has a big campus, entirely Wi-Fi zoned, where students get lots of opportunities to interact with each other. There is an excellent central canteen. There are several activities taking place throughout the year. The environment is said to have an entrepreneurship vision, where students can pitch their own ideas to make it better. LNCT has a very good placement record, with several internships offers from big MNCs.  Therefore, LNCT is definitely an excellent choice for engineering. Students make friends, enjoy their stay in an excellent environment, and pursue their dreams in their career from LNCT.

Both LNCT Bhopal and OIST Bhopal have gained a reputation among other engineering colleges in Madhya Pradesh. Here are some of the reasons why. Both the institutes are among the oldest engineering colleges in Bhopal, and in light of this fact, the academic depth crucially slopes higher with respect to their age of establishment. In fact, the major upside both institutes boast is their infrastructure and faculty strength, unlike many other institutes. The placement reports, most essentially, are booming, regardless of present circumstances. However, when compared there are no such differences between LNCT Bhopal and OIST Bhopal. Pros of LNCT: LNCT Bhopal, recently, improved its disciplinary and management strategies. OIST Bhopal, on the other hand, also has its own management yet it is not as it used to be. The placements of LNCT have been better than OIST for the last few years now. The reason behind this is their TPO, who earlier was associated with Oriental. According to the recent placement highlights the average CTC offered at the institute is 3.5 LPA, while the highest CTC offered was 21 LPA. However, in placement numbers, OIST still beats LNCT due to the mass recruitment of TCS. Cons of LNCT: Regardless of their disciplinary actions, LNCT does mandate an attendance requirement until the final year, which is severely hard to maintain. It is quite transparent as to why students have a hard time preparing for exams like GATE or CAT. The technical and cultural fests are quite infrequent, as opposed to what is in OIST Bhopal. However, this is not as crucial as the other aspects of the institute. Nonetheless, if you are opting between the both, LNCT Bhopal has an upper hand, even though by only a few pointers. But, given the scenario, there are no greatly noticeable differences between the two institutes, except only a few handfuls.

Having friends in both institutions, I can say that, to decide on a college and to pursue a particular college and course in life, you need to have a proper understanding of your needs and wants. To understand this, answer these three questions: Need to pursue the Engineering Engineering is a 4-year degree course. Investing 4 years in a particular domain is a commitment. And so is sticking with it. Pursuing another thing after engineering doesn't make any sense, then it would be a waste of 4 years. So, first, decide whether engineering is the right choice for you or not. Jobs If the job is the future, opt for any one of them. These colleges have a good name and placements. They also welcome many reputed companies for their on-campus placement. Oriental is better in terms of placement and infrastructure. It is one of the oldest colleges and has been completed for 21 years. They also conduct many cultural and technical events. So opt for oriental. Higher Studies If higher studies are your goal, then you should not go to any of these colleges as they need 75% attendance. To pursue higher studies after engineering from a prominent college you need to study hard and cannot entertain the attendance criteria. Among these LNCT is best for engineering. It offers better placements, facilities, and ROI. According to recent highlights of LNCT Bhopal placements, around 80% of students get placed through campus drive. The average CTC offered is around INR 4.5 LPA - 5 LPA. The highest CTC goes up to INR 19.5 LPA. Adobe, Amazon, Samsung, TCS, Infosys, etc. are the major recruiters that take part in the campus placements.  If you are getting CSE or IT at LNCT, you should take it.
