I have a few friends from the National Power Training Institute (NPTI). Based on the conversations I had with them, I can give you some insight regarding the institute.
- NPTI is started by the Power Ministry of Government of India and a student from there can get jobs at thermal power plants or related sectors such as distribution, boiler manufacturing, etc.
- However, in recent years, the government has started pushing renewable energy aggressively and newer thermal power plants are not coming up at the same pace as they used to a few years back. This narrows down your scope of placement after studies.
So choose the course you want to do keeping your interests in mind along with the future scope of the industry in consideration.
