National Institute of Technical Teachers Training and Research (NITTTR), Bhopal offers self-financing long-term programs at the postgraduate level.

Interested students can pursue five Master’s degree in Engineering and Technology discipline as well as a Master of Business Administration apart from Ph.D. degrees in a wide range of technical education disciplines, management, sciences etc. while the M.E./ M.Tech degrees are awarded by Rajiv Gandhi Pradyogiki Vishwavidyalaya (RGPV), the MBA program and the Ph.D. degrees are from Barkatullah University.

The basic eligibility criteria for admission into M.E./ M.Tech is a graduate engineering degree in relevant discipline with 55% aggregate marks and a valid GATE score.
A bachelor’s degree holder in any discipline with 50% in aggregate and a valid CAT/ CMAT/ MAT score will be eligible to apply for MBA at NITTTR.
For Ph.D. eligibility, applicants need to have a minimum 2nd division or equivalent grade in their Master’s degree examination or hold a M.Phil. degree in proposed research subject.
The Ph.D admission will be conducted on the basis of Doctoral Entrance test followed by Interview.

M.E./ M.Tech Eligibility

M.E./ M.Tech applicants must have qualified B.E./ B. Tech degree in relevant discipline or equivalent qualification, approved by AICTE.
They should have scored at least 55% aggregate marks or equivalent grade. Please note that SC/ST category candidates will get a relaxation in the qualifying marks, as per RGPV norms.
Candidates appearing for the qualifying examination can apply. However, such candidates will have to present the original certificate of the qualifying examination or its final mark sheet in order to fulfil the program eligibility conditions.
Applicants should possess a valid GATE Score in a relevant branch of engineering.
Sponsored candidates should have at least two-years of consolidated full time post-qualification relevant professional experience in a technical institute/ research organization/any Government Department or Autonomous Organizations/ reputable company at the National or State level.
Sponsored candidates are required to present a Certificate in specified format, from the respective employers, certifying the sponsorship to fund the post-graduate degree programme.

M.E./ M.Tech Selection Criteria

Selection for admission into M.E./ M.Tech programs at NITTTR is primarily based on GATE merit list. Admission is offered to candidates according to their merit in their chosen discipline in GATE.
Applicants with same GATE score will be shortlisted by considering their merit in the qualifying exam, percentage scored in final semester of qualifying exam and date of birth/ age (older candidate gets preference).
Sponsored candidates are shortlisted on merit basis, considering qualifying degree percentage or CGPA.

NITTTR Bhopal MBA Admission 2023

MBA at NITTTR is a two-year full time regular program under the Department of Management. The degree is awarded by Barkatullah University, Bhopal. The AICTE sanctioned intake for the program is 60 students per year.

MBA Eligibility

Candidates applying for MBA must hold a bachelor’s degree in any discipline from a UGC recognized university or an equivalent qualification recognized by MHRD, GOI.
Such candidates should have scored a minimum aggregate of 50% marks or equivalent CGPA (relaxation for SC/ST candidates as per Barkatullah Univeristy norms).
In case of CGPA score, equivalence will be on the basis of certificate issued by the awarding body. In case such certificate is unavailable, NITTTR will establish equivalence by dividing the obtained actual CGPA by the maximum possible CGPA and multiplying the resultant with 100.
Candidates who are appearing for their final examination of bachelor’s degree/ equivalent qualification will be considered for provisional admission. Admission of such candidates will be confirmed once they present their original pass certificate of the qualifying examination or its final mark sheet to comply with the program eligibility conditions.
MBA applicants are also required to qualify either CAT/ CMAT/ MAT.
Sponsored candidates will be accepted for admission, provided they have at least two-years of consolidated full time post-qualification relevant professional experience in a technical institute/ research organization/any Government Department or Autonomous Organizations/ reputable company at the National or State level.
Such candidates are required qualify an institute-level entrance process (Written test/ Interview/ GD) and also present a Sponsorship Certificate in specified format, from the respective employers, certifying the sponsorship to fund the post-graduate degree programme.

MBA Selection Criteria

MBA applicants are shortlisted as per merit list prepared on the basis of valid CAT/ CMAT/ MAT score followed by Group Discussion and Personal Interview conducted by NITTTR.
Applicants with same CAT or CMAT or MAT scores will be shortlisted by considering their merit in the qualifying exam, percentage scored in final semester of qualifying exam and date of birth/ age (older candidate gets preference).
Sponsored candidates are shortlisted on the basis of qualifying degree percentage or CGPA.

How to Apply for MBA at NITTTR?

For admission to MBA Programme, candidates need to fill the application ONLINE only, by accessing the institute website (http://www.nitttrbpl.ac.in). The stepwise application process is as follows:

Click on online application and fill the email and phone number to register
Fill all the required personal and academic credentials.
Pay the application fee of INR 750 (General/ OBC) or INR 450 (SC/ ST) via NEFT/ Internet Banking.

10th Mark Sheet/Certificates as proof of Date of Birth
Higher Secondary /10+2 Mark sheet/Certificate

Ph.D. Eligibility

An applicant for the Ph.D. program at NITTTR must have qualified a Master’s degree from a recognized university, in the subject or in any allied subject in which the research is proposed.
They should have scored at least 55% Marks in the qualifying exam (50% for reserved category candidates)
Applicants will have to appear for a Doctoral Entrance Test conducted by the Barkatullah University and score a minimum of 50% (45% for reserved category candidates). However, entrance test exemption will be allowed for candidates who:
- have qualified either UGC-NET with JRF or UGC-CSIR-NET with JRF, OR
- hold a teacher fellowship or any other Government/ Foreign research fellowship, OR
- have completed M.Phil. degree course work (as per UGC Regulations 2009)

Ph.D. Selection Criteria

The selection process for Ph.D. admissions involves an entrance test and personal interview. Candidates who are exempt from appearing the entrance test, have to appear for the interview round.
Please note that the Doctoral Entrance Test will be conducted separately for each subject by the Barkatullah University at pre-decided venues.
Candidates who score the qualifying marks in the entrance test will be invited for the Interview round with the Research Advisory Committee.
Merit list will be prepared on the basis of interview performance of candidates and admission finalized as per merit and availability of seats.

Doctoral Entrance Test

The Doctoral Entrance Test will have the question paper in two parts. Part-A shall consist of 50 objective type compulsory questions of 1 mark each based on research methodology.

The DET is designed to assess reasoning ability, data interpretation, and quantitative aptitude of the candidate.

Part-A may be common within the same faculty.
Part-B shall also consist of 50 objective type compulsory questions of 1 mark each based on the subject of the research.

The duration of the Doctoral Entrance Test will be of two hours. There will be no negative marking. The candidates must score minimum 50% marks ( 4 5 % f o r S C / S T / O B C ) DET to qualify for the interview.

A list of the eligible candidates for interview shall be prepared by the RAC on the basis of the result of the Doctoral Entrance Test and the same shall be submitted to the Registrar to notify.

How to Apply for NITTTR Bhopal?

For admission to M.E./ M. Tech/ MBA Programs at NITTTR, candidates will have to access the online application form through the official website http://www.nitttrbpl.ac.in.

After filling the form with correct details, candidates need to make the application fee payment online through NEFT or Internet Banking.

After submitting the application form candidates will have to take a print of the submitted form, affix recent photograph, enclose copies of supporting documents including the payment confirmation receipt and send via Speed or Registered Post to ‘The Chairman (Admission Committee), NITTTR, Shamla Hills, Bhopal - 462 002’, well within the deadline. Please note that unless this last step is done, the application process will not be considered complete.

GATE qualified M.E/M. Tech students may be considered for stipend/scholarship as per AICTE norms.
Students with Disability can avail of 2500 Scholarship from NHFDC.

FAQs

Ques. For M.E./ M. Tech/ MBA admissions, do I need to submit all my original documents to NITTTR?

Ans. Original certificates/ documents need to be presented along with three-sets of listed documents that are self-attested or attested by Gazetted Officer, at the time of admission. NITTTR will retain only the original Transfer and Migration Certificates and return the rest after due verification.

Ques. How do I get to know about my NITTTR application status?

Ans. NITTTR uploads the list of selected candidates on the institution website and applicants are advised to visit the same for updates. Please note that the shortlisted applicants will not be sent any individual intimation/ information by NITTTR on any stage of the admission process.

Ques. What kind of questions can I expect in the Doctoral Entrance Test and how will I be scored?

Ans. The Doctoral Entrance Test specifications are:

Two-hour test of 100 marks with 100 Objective type questions.
Subjects covered are Research Methodology and Research subject, with each section posing 50 questions.
There will not be any negative marking for wrong answers.

Ques. On what parameters are Ph.D. students evaluated during the Interview round of the admission process?

Ans. Candidates who qualify the Doctoral Entrance Test, appear for an Interview with the Research Advisory Committee. During the interview, candidates are assessed for level of competence to pursue the proposed research and also whether the study will produce new or additional knowledge. The suitability of the research centre is also considered for undertaking the research work.

The candidates are evaluated on the basis of Research plan, Research potential/ aptitude, Communication skills, and Subject knowledge. Each of these parameters carry 25 marks, making the consolidated marks of Interview process 100.
