Meenakshi College of Engineering was established in the year 2001-2002 by Meenakshi Ammal Trust, Chennai. The College is located in Chennai and and affiliated to Anna University, approved by AICTE.

Meenakshi College of Engineering offers eight UG (B.E./B.Tech./B.Arch) and six PG (M.E./MBA/MCA/M.Arch) programs.

B.Tech./B.E. aspirants should have passed the HSC (10+2) with 50% (45% for BC/BCM and 40% for MBC/SC/SCA/ST) in Science stream with PCM as main subjects.
Also, candidates who have passed the Diploma or B. Sc. with 55% (50% for BC/BCM and 45% for SC/SCA/ST) are also eligible to apply to second year of the B.E./B.Tech program.
Candidates seeking admission in B.Arch. program should pass HSC or 3 years Govt. recognized diploma with Mathematics as a subject and minimum 50% aggregate.
A candidate needs to pass NATA (National Aptitude Test in Architecture) exam with minimum 80/200.
Foe admission in MCA course bachelor’s/master’s degree with a minimum of 50% marks with Mathematics as a subject in degree or 12^th level is required.
Candidates looking for admission in the MBA program should have passed bachelor’s/master’s degree examination or equivalent from recognized university in any stream with minimum 50% marks.
For admission to M.E./M.Arch. program, candidate is required to pass B.E./B.Tech./B.Arch. in relevant field.
Admission in B.E. and B.Tech courses is done on the basis of Tamil Nadu Engineering Admissions (TNEA) rank which is conducted online by Anna University.
Admission to M.E. program is done on the basis of Tamil Nadu Common Entrance Test (TANCET) conducted by Anna University, Chennai.

Admission to B.Tech/B.E. programs of Meenakshi College of Engineering is based upon the marks obtained in qualifying examinations. The basic eligibility criteria for this program is 12^th in Science stream with minimum 50% marks with Physics, Chemistry and Mathematics as main subjects. For admission in B.Arch candidate should have passed HSC (Academic) or three years Govt. recognized diploma with Maths as a subject and minimum 50% marks in the aggregate. Also, pass in NATA examination with minimum 80/200.

Candidates who have passed B.Sc. or Diploma in engineering with minimum 55% marks by the State Board of Technical Education, Tamil Nadu or equivalent are eligible to apply for the lateral admissions to the B.E./B.Tech program. Meenakshi College of Engineering M.E., MBA, MCA, and M.Arch Admission 2023

MCE offers PG courses in M.E./MBA/MCA/M.Arch. programs. Admission to these programs is merit based. The minimum qualification for this program is UG degree by Anna University or equivalent as prescribed by the Tamil Nadu Government.

Candidates applying for undergraduate level engineering courses offered by Sri Eshwar College of Engineering are required to apply through TNEA counselling. The process of application is as follows:

Fill the online application form for TNEA on the official website.
Payment of TNEA application fee (INR 500 for general candidates and INR 250 for reserved category) can be done online.
A copy of the printed application from, accompanied by photocopies of educational documents, must be sent to “Secretary, TNEA, Anna University, Chennai – 600 025,” and should reach the destination no later than June 3, 2018.

Candidates have to apply through TANCET counselling. The process of application for TANCET is as follows:

Candidate have to apply for TANCET 2018 by registering through the TANCET website.
Both online and offline modes of application is offered by TANCET.
Candidates applying through any mode of application are required to send a copy of the complete application form and photocopies of all relevant documents to “The Secretary, TANCET, Anna University, Chennai”
For offline payment of application fees, a demand draft of INR 500 (INR 250 for reserved category) is to be enclosed with the application form.
Qualifying candidates are called for a university-level counselling based on which seats are allotted.
