Kathir College of Engineering came into existence in 2008. The college is 8 kms from Coimbatore Junction railway station. It is affiliated to Anna University and is accredited by NAAC.

The institute offers BE and B.Tech at UG level in 5 specializations. The minimum requirement for both courses is 50% marks in 10+2. Those who are willing to apply are granted admission based on the performance in the qualifying exam. However, the final seat allotment is based on the TNEA Counselling.

Kathir College of Engineering also provides admission in ME and MBA at PG level. Interested candidates must have a Bachelor’s degree to apply in any of the courses. Admission is offered based on the TANCET score and TANCA Counselling.

The college has witnessed maximum placements for its BE/B.Tech programs. Around 14 students were placed in the C Cube Technologies followed by Shree Krishna Automation Solutions (5).

Kathir College of Engineering UG Selection Criteria

• Candidates are shortlisted for admission based on the score in the qualifying exam.
• The shortlisted candidates have to further appear for the TNEA Counselling conducted by Anna University for which they have to login into the TNEA portal using his/her user ID and password.
• Applicants also have to pay a counselling fee of INR 5000/- (INR 1000/- for SC/SCA/ST candidates of Tamil Nadu only).
• After making the payment, the eligible candidates need to fill the choice of college and course and lock them.
• Seat will be alloted based on the rank and choices filled.
• At last candidates need to report to the college on or before the last date as mentioned on the Allotment Letter to remit the remaining fees and for document verification.
