Eligibility Criteria​

Indian citizens having passed 10+2 with English, Physics, Chemistry and Mathematics with 50% of marks for General category (45% for SC/ 45% for ST candidates). 

Selection Criteria:

Admission to these programmes are done according to the CEE test scores on Merit basis conducted by the Government of Assam. The test is held every year in the month of May. In the admission test candidates are required to appear only Multiple-Choice Questions (MCQ) in

• Mathematics 100 Marks in 2 hours
• Physics 100 Marks in 2 hours
• Chemistry 100 Marks in 2 hours

Exemption: Candidates ranked within the first 10 positions in the Assam Higher Secondary (Science Stream) Examination, securing not less than 75% marks can seek direct Admission within 10 days of Publication of their qualification results to the Director of Technical Education, Assam.

Note: Candidates belonging to SC and ST castes will be selected according to Quota Reservation.

How to Apply for B.E at Jorhat Engineering College?

Students have to first register for Assam CEE 2020 from the official website. 

• Enter their basic details like name, email address, mobile phone number etc. 
• Create a password of their choice which will be required for all future login.
• Fill the detailed application form after registration. 
• Enter their basic details like date of birth, gender, details of family like father’s name, address for correspondence, details of educational qualification like marks secured in class 12/equivalent exam, choice of centre for appearing in exam.

Eligibility:

Candidates should have passed the 3-year Polytechnic Diploma from the state of Assam.

Selection Criteria:

Applicants should have appeared for JLEE and secure 50% of marks in Physics, Mathematics and Chemistry subjects in the same sitting. For SC the passing marks are 45% and for ST it is 40%. The test will be a combination of three sections

• Mathematics-10 Questions
• Basic Computers- 10 Questions
• Branch of Engineering- 50 Questions
• Graphics- 10 Questions

Applying for JLEE for B.E. (Lateral Entry)

For admission into MCA program

Eligibility:

Candidates are required to complete the 10+2 and graduation with minimum 50% of marks (45% For SC and 40% for ST) or The candidate must have completed graduation with Mathematics as core subject or BCA.

Selection Process: 

Candidates are required to appear for the entrance test conducted by Assam Science and Technological University (ASTU). The test will be conducted in Offline mode and will be of 3 hours duration

The Entrance exam will contain the following sections:

• Mathematics -30 Questions
• Reasoning – 30Questions
• English – 20 Questions
• Fundamentals of Computing – 20 Questions

Questions will be of MCQ type. Every Question will carry 4 (four) marks each. 4 (four) marks will be awarded for the correct answer and 1 (one) mark will be deducted for every wrong answer.

Selection will be done on Merit basis and for SC/ST category quota basis will prevail.

Selection Process

Candidates are required to appear for the Admission Test conducted in the offline mode. The test comprises 4 parts from which 3 sections will carry MCQ and 1 section will carry Subjective questions. The test will be conducted for 3 hours.
