What I Liked

Institute of Engineering and Rural Technology is an engineering institution of Allahabad. It is affiliated to U.P. Technical University, Lucknow, U.P., India. Admissions to the college are based upon the merit of the student in jee mains.
The Institution has hostel and mess facilities for boys and girls separately.
The Institute was the first polytechnic in India to be granted autonomy. The Institute offers B.Tech courses in seven disciplines as well.

What I didn’t like

If you are specifically aiming for placements then it might not be a good choice as companies comming to campus are restricted .
the college has earned bad image in charges of corruption.
Scholarship for the students was swallowed at all the managerial levels and in the end director was arrested.

Remarks:

Admission is based on JEE mains rank through UPTU counselling. The admission procedure is simple as you have to complete online AKTU counselling through the website of UPTAC and you can also take direct admission from physical reporting in the college.
