Guntur Engineering College (GECG) is a reputed engineering institute located in Guntur, Andhra Pradesh. It was established in 2008 by the Krishna Sai Educational Society. The college is approved by the All India Council for Technical Education (AICTE) and UGC, New Delhi. It is affiliated to Jawaharlal Nehru Technical University (JNTU), Kakinada.

Guntur Engineering College offers undergraduate and postgraduate level engineering degree programs along with a MBA program with various specializations. The B. Tech program is offered with specializations in CSE, Civil, EEE, ECE, and ME. It offers several M. Tech courses in CSE, EEE, ECE and ME. The MBA specializations include Finance, Marketing and HR. The college is soon to start AICTE approved engineering Diploma programs in Electrical and Mechanical Engineering.

Candidates qualifying EAMCET/ PGECET/ ICET must attend web-counselling, where candidate is allowed to select college and courses online or by visiting a nearby Help-line Center.

Similarly, GATE qualifiers are eligible for direct counselling for M. Tech admissions.
Candidates are selected on the basis of PGECET for M.Tech and ICET for MBA rank according to merit.

Guntur Engineering College B.Tech Admission 2023

Guntur Engineering College offers undergraduate level engineering degree (B. Tech) programs in the disciplines of in Computer Science Engineering, Civil Engineering, Electrical & Electronics Engineering, Electronics & Communication Engineering and Mechanical Engineering. The basic eligibility criteria for admission to the B. Tech courses is a pass in 10+2 or equivalent exam. Candidates are further required to score a minimum aggregate % of marks with Physics, Chemistry and Mathematics as the main subjects. Candidates are selected on the basis of EAMCET rank. Candidates with valid JEE Main score can also apply.

Prospective applicants may apply through EAMCET website, appear for the state-level entrance exam and attend counselling if selected. The mode of application and fee payment for EAMCET is online only. Candidates who clear the EAMCET entrance test must attend the web-based counselling process of EAMCET for admission purpose.

Guntur Engineering College M.Tech, MBA Admission 2023

Guntur Engineering College offers postgraduate level engineering degree programs (M. Tech) in the disciplines of Computer Science, Electrical & Electronics, Mechanical, and Electronics & Communication. Additionally, it offers a MBA program with specialization in Finance, HR and Marketing. The basic eligibility criteria for admission to the M. Tech program is a BE/ B. Tech degree in the relevant discipline with minimum 50% marks. MBA candidates can be any graduates with 50% aggregate marks.

Selection of M. Tech candidates is done through AP-PGECET counselling. MBA candidates are selected though AP-ICET counselling. Candidates applying for M. Tech and MBA programs have to appear for their respective entrance exams and attend relevant counselling wherein he/she will need to enter Guntur Engineering College code (GECG) as the preferred choice. All admissions are done through counselling only, unless applying under Management/ NRI quota.

Key Points:

AP PGECET is an offline state level entrance test of two-hour consisting of objective type questions of 120 marks.
AP ICET is a 2-and-a-half-hour objective type entrance test. It consists of three sections viz Analytical Ability, Mathematical Ability and Communication Ability.

Guntur Engineering College Application Process 2023

Guntur Engineering College admits students in various courses through state level entrance counselling. Candidates may visit their respective entrance exam websites and fill the online application form. Candidates who qualify their respective entrance tests are eligible for counselling. Seats are allotted post counselling according to candidates’ entrance test rank.

Counselling Process

Candidates qualifying the entrance test must visit one of the nearest Help-line Centers with all relevant documents for verification.
After verification of his/ documents, candidate will receive a blank Option Form along with a list with colleges names, courses and their Codes.
Applicant must write down their preferred college and course codes on priority basis. The college code for Guntur Engineering College is GECG.
In case of discrepancies, applicant is allowed to modify his/her choice of college and course code on a given date which is notified by the authority on their official website.
The final allotment of seats according to the authority’s norms will be displayed on the official website.
Candidates whose names are on the Merit list must download their allotment order and report though Self-reporting system/ at college for payment of admission fees and to book his/her seat.
