Points worth keeping in mind before applying to the B. Tech programmes:

Registration for JEE Main comes first, and it is completed on the official JEE website.
Fees for the JEE application depend on the mode chosen. The offline paper costs INR 1000, reduced to INR 500 for SC/ST applicants, whereas the online paper is charged at INR 500, or INR 250 for SC/ST applicants.
Once the entrance test has been cleared, there are two ways forward: an online admission application on the college website, or participation in the JEE counseling rounds.

Points worth keeping in mind before applying to the M. Tech programmes:

Clearing the GATE entrance examination is mandatory before any M. Tech application at DAVIET can be taken up.
The GATE registration itself is done on the official GATE website.
An application fee of INR 1500 applies, dropping to INR 750 for SC/ST candidates and for women.
Qualified candidates then move to the college website and complete the online admission form there.
From the pool of applicants, GATE scores decide who is called for the interview that the college and PTU conduct together.

MBA:

Which one is better, DAV University Jalandhar or DAVIET Jalandhar?

GNDU should be preferred over DAVIET, as the degree value of GNDU is more valuable than a PTU degree. The study material and exposure provided remain the same in both institutes.

Here are some facts about both these institutes:

During placements, some of them do not even consider a PTU degree.
Attendance in DAVIET is monitored very strictly and if it falls short it will affect your overall performance.
In GNDU teachers are cooperative and compensate for your attendance by giving assignments.
DAVIET is private but GNDU is semi-government. Hence have a better reputation.
DAVIET is much like a school with very strict rules and regulations. GNDU is more lenient.

Both colleges have a good reputation but which is a better option that depends upon a number of factors. CGC Landran is ranked in 210-250 band by NIRF 2020 whereas DAVIET is ranked 100 by India Today.

Given below is a brief overview of the two colleges.

On the other hand, DAVIET has a lower placement percentage but has a higher average salary as DAVIET does not allow mass recruiters which offer less than 3 LPA packages.

Every year top companies like Samsung, IBM, Microsoft, Dell etc visit both the campuses.
In terms of placement percentage, CGC Landran has led with 100% placement compared to DAVIET Jalandhar which has 85% placement.
The average package of both the colleges is the same 3.5 LPA.
The highest package of CGC Landran is 35 LPA whereas the highest package of DAVIET Jalandhar is only 10 LPA. As CGC is a group of institutions, it has advantages over the highest package data.

So, the choice of college purely depends on one’s priority. Placement wise CGC Landran has an edge over DAVIET but if you consider fee structure and campus location or exposure then DAVIET is better. DAVIET is located in Jalandhar city and hence has location advantage and better connectivity than CGC Landran. Academically both are equally good colleges and their average placement is similar. DAVIET has comparatively a smaller number of placements but quality placements and CGC has more placements from mass recruiters.
