Aspirants seeking admission to 4 year Full-time B.Tech Program should meet the following criteria as specified by the institute.
Academic Requirement:-

A candidate who has passed the HSC (Std. XII) examination of Andhra Pradesh State Board or its equivalent examination with subjects English, Physics, Chemistry and Mathematics and secured minimum 50% marks i.e. not less than 150 marks out of 300 marks (45% marks i.e. 135 marks out of 300 marks for backward class candidates from Andhra Pradesh)
Or
Diploma holder who has passed the diploma course in Engineering/Technology affiliated to Andhra Pradesh State Board approved by AICTE or its equivalent. (Other State students are also eligible).
Or
A candidate who has passed the B. Sc. Degree from a recognized University as defined by UGC. 

Additional eligibility criteria for different category seats are as follows:

Convener Quota:
Candidates are required to appear for EAMCET and based on their ranks they are eligible for admission for State Quota seats through Centralized Admissions. Candidates from Andhra Pradesh as well as outside Andhra Pradesh are required to appear for EAMCET. Management Quota:
The students who fulfill the minimum eligibility criteria are eligible for admission under Management Quota. However, they have to make an application directly to the institute. Admissions will be as per the merit list on the basis of EAMCET rank and/or XII Science PCM marks in that order.

Direct second-year admission through lateral entry:-

Second Year admission to Four-Year degree course:
Passed Diploma examination from an AICTE approved institution; with at least 50% marks (45% in case of candidates belonging to reserved category) in appropriate branch of Engineering/Technology.
Or
Passed B. Sc. Degree from a recognized University as defined by UGC, with at least 50% marks (45% in case of candidates belonging to reserved category) and passed XII standard with mathematics as a subject.
Provided that in case of students belonging to B.Sc. Stream shall clear the subjects of Engineering Graphics/ Engineering Drawing and Engineering Mechanics of the first-year engineering program with the second year subjects.
