Aspirants seeking admission to 2 year Full-time Ph.D Program should have passed ME/MTech & (eligibility for fellowship or good academic/ research record) or Scientists at CSIR-CEERI.

Course Details

Eligibility and Selection Criteria

For the Ph.D. program, a candidate must have passed M.Tech. or has done the Junior Research Fellowship/ Senior Research Fellowship in CSIR-CEERI.

There is also a provision for the teachers who wish to pursue the Ph.D. program by AICTE-INAE-Teachers Research Fellowship Scheme. The duration of the course is 2 years. Detailed eligibility criterion:

Master’s degree in Engineering or Technology following a four-year engineering/technology or 4/5 year science degree or equivalent degree of not less than four years’ duration with CGPA ≥ 6.5.	All candidates.
CGPA ≥ 8.5 at ME-level examination or a valid GATE score ≥ 500 or NET Qualified.	All UR candidates.
CGPA ≥ 8.0 at ME-level examination or a valid GATE score ≥ 475 or NET Qualified.	All OBC & UR-EWS candidates.
CGPA ≥ 7.5 at BE-level examination or a valid GATE score ≥ 450 or NET Qualified.	All SC/ ST/ PH candidates.
Qualifying all conditions stipulated by CSIR and CSIR-CEERI for Project Assistants to admission for M.Tech.	All candidates working at CSIR Labs, who want to apply through the PA/ SRF/ Scientist route.
