Central Electronics Engineering Research Institute (CEERI) offers M.Tech., Integrated Ph.D. (M.Tech + Ph.D.), Direct Ph.D. (Engineering), and Ph.D. (Science). The institute also offers consultancy services for new designs, and upgrading and absorption of technology to industry, R&D units, and project engineering organizations and undertakes contract research on specific problems and requirements of the electronic industry.

The application process for all the courses offered by the institute is online.
Register for admission by creating a valid user id and details asked.
Upon logging in, candidates should fill-up the application form and download the acknowledgment slip with Unique Form Number.
A candidate has to fill the application form and wait for the list generated by the institute about the shortlisted candidate along-with the date od interview.
If the candidate manages to get into the shortlisted list then he/she have to physically visit with all the pre-requisite documents along with the printout of the filled application form on the prescribed date to the institute for the further process like a face-to-face interview, document verification and if necessary then, the medical test will also in one of the rounds in the admission process in the institute.

The institute is a pioneer research institute in India and a constituent laboratory of the Council of Scientific and Industrial Research (CSIR India), New Delhi. It had been established in 1953 for advanced research and development within the field of Electronics.

Eligibility

Institute offers M.Tech. Degree Program in Advanced Electronics Engineering. For the M.Tech. the degree program, the candidate must have passed the undergraduate degree in BE/B.Tech. with a minimum of 55% marks scored in the academic curriculum.

The duration of the course is 2 years. Detailed eligibility criterion:

A Bachelor’s degree in Engineering or Technology following a four-year engineering/technology or 4/5 year science degree or equivalent degree of not less than four years’ duration with CGPA ≥ 6.5.

Selection Criteria

The candidates having Aat least one of the following can get admission to the M.Tech program.

Awarded a national-level fellowship tenable at CSIR-CEERI, Pilani. Awarded as a CSIR-SRF, or CSIR-GATE-JRF.
Qualifying the conditions for the award of the INSPIRE fellowship or 1st rank in the University.
Qualifying all the conditions stipulated by CSIR and CSIR-CEERI for Project Assistants to admission for MTech
Qualifying the conditions stipulated by AcSIR for industry-sponsored# students.
A valid GATE/ NET score (Rank ≤ 2000 for UR; Rank ≤ 3000 for OBC; Rank ≤ 5000 for SC/ST/PH), or
CGPA (≥ 8.0 for UR; ≥ 7.5 for OBC; ≥ 7.0 for SC/ST/PH) at the BE-level examination.

Candidates should fill the application online and for the admission process need to visit the institute with all the pre-requisite documents on the specified date after the counseling process and cut off list has been generated.

For the Ph.D. program, a candidate must have passed M.Tech. or has done the Junior Research Fellowship/ Senior Research Fellowship in CSIR-CEERI.

There is also a provision for the teachers who wish to pursue the Ph.D. program by AICTE-INAE-Teachers Research Fellowship Scheme. The duration of the course is 2 years. Detailed eligibility criterion:

The IDDP (Integrated Dual Degree Programme) is for the B.Tech/BE passed candidates with the overall academic score of 8.0 CGPA and the admission cutoff depends on the scorecard of GATE and NET.
