Duration of B. Tech (IT)

Candidates must have passed class 12th from a recognized institute with Physics, Chemistry and Mathematics as compulsory subjects and has obtained 50% marks in the board examination.

• Firstly, the successfully registered students have to visit the TNEA Facilitation Centers (TFCs) along with their original documents for document verification.
• When the verification will be done, the concerned authority will publish a merit list based on the marks obtained in Physics, Chemistry and Mathematics. 
• Applicants are grouped on the basis of their rank and each of the groups have to attend the TNEA counselling conducted by Anna University.
• There will be around 4 to 5 rounds of counselling.
• For participating in it, applicants have to login into the TNEA portal using his/her user ID and password.
• After each round of the counselling, a list of eligible candidates will be published on the portal and such candidates have to pay an initial amount of INR 5000/- (INR 1000/- for SC/SCA/ST candidates of Tamil Nadu only).
• Those who make the payment can fill the choice of college and course and lock them. 
• Based on the rank and choices filled, seats are allotted to candidates.
• If the allotment is according to the choice then students need to report at the college to remit the remaining fees and confirm the allotted seat.
