Amritsar College of Engineering & Technology (ACET) is an autonomous college affiliated to Punjab Technical University, Kapurthala. The college is situated in Manawala, in the vicinity of Amritsar city, Punjab.

ACET currently offers B. Tech and M. Tech programs to eligible candidates seeking admission to engineering courses in the state of Punjab. The B. Tech program is offered in 6 engineering disciplines while the M. Tech program is offered in 2 disciplines.

In addition, the institute offers BBA, BCA, B.Sc. Agriculture and B.Com Professional courses at the undergraduate level, and MBA and MCA courses at the PG level. The courses are approved by the AICTE and the institute itself is accredited by the National Board of Accreditation (NBA) and NAAC. It is a Grade ‘A’ institute with IEEE campus access.

After submission of application form online, candidates must submit all relevant documents in person afore the admission counsellor on the stipulated date, failure of which may lead to dismissal of the applicant’s candidature.
International candidates must obtain Acceptance Letter from the institute which can be used as a supporting document while applying for visa.
Candidates with a three-year diploma in engineering are eligible for lateral entry, i.e. direct admission to third semester of B. Tech.
Only graduates with Mathematics/ Statistics/ Business Mathematics/ Business Statistics/ Quantitative Techniques are eligible for the MCA program.
In every discipline, 15% of State-quota seats is reserved for outside candidates. Any student who secures Merit position in JEE Main gets direct admission into ACET under this provision. The remaining 85% seats (reserved for Punjab state candidates) are filled on the basis of JEE rank.
M. Tech and MCA candidates are selected on the basis of GATE and CMAT score respectively.

Amritsar College of Engineering & Technology offers engineering degree (B. Tech) programs to eligible candidates at the undergraduate level.

Additional courses, viz. a Bachelor’s degree in Hotel Management (BHM), Bachelor in Business Administration (BBA), Bachelor in Computer Applications (BCA), a B.Sc. degree in Agriculture and a Professional B.Com. degree are also being offered by the institute to eligible candidates.

The areas of specialization for the B. Tech program include CSE, Civil, ECE, Electrical, IT and Mechanical Engineering. Candidates seeking admission to the B. Tech program must pass 10+2 in science stream (Physics, Mathematics + Chemistry/ Biology/ Biotech) with minimum 50% aggregate marks. Selection of B. Tech candidates is done of the basis of their JEE ranks.
Candidates for the other UG courses are selected on the basis of 10+2 marks.
Prospective candidates may apply by visiting the institute website and filling the online application form.

Amritsar College of Engineering & Technology – PG Admissions 2023

In addition to MBA and MCA programs, the Amritsar Colleges of Engineering & Technology offers M. Tech programs in two disciplines, viz. Computer Science & Engineering and Electronics & Communication Engineering.

The basic eligibility criteria for admission to the M. Tech programs is a BE or B. Tech degree in the relevant or allied discipline with minimum 55 percentile marks in aggregate of all papers.

For MBA and MCA courses, candidates must at least complete graduation (BCA degree for MCA). MBA candidates must fulfil additional eligibility criteria of having a valid CMAT score. Candidates without CMAT score are not eligible to pursue the MBA program.

Selection of candidates for the M. Tech program is done on the basis of GATE score.

Amritsar College of Engineering & Technology offers UG and PG level engineering courses in addition to other degrees such as BBA, BCA, MBA, MCA etc. The institute accepts applications from eligible candidates through online mode only. The process of application to the various courses offered by the college is as follows:

Candidates may visit the institute website www.acetamritsar.ac.in and navigate to the ‘Online Application’ tab listed under ‘Admission.’
They are advised to read the instructions carefully before filling the application form.
It is required of the candidate to first choose the desired course before access to the online application form is allowed.
All requisite details in the application form must be filled correctly. Incomplete forms are ineligible, hence all given columns must be filled.
After filling the online application form, the candidate must pay the application fee (variable) though online mode in order to complete the application process.
The application fee can be paid through PayU gateway using credit/debit card, internet banking, UPI and e-wallets.
After successful payment of application fee online, the candidate will receive a call from the institute’s admission cell to assist with the subsequent steps.
