Bhavnagar Medical College MBBS Courses Admission 2023

Government Medical College, Bhavnagar offers MBBS degree course at the undergraduate level. Candidates must have passed Class XII or equivalent exam from a recognized board with five subjects including Physics, Chemistry, Biology, and English and obtained 50% marks in aggregate.

Candidates should not be below 17 years of age or above 25 years of age at the time of Application process. Blind (including colour blind), deaf, and/or dumb candidates are not eligible to apply for the course.

Bhavnagar Medical College PG Diploma Courses Admission 2023

Government Medical College, Bhavnagar offers PG Diploma courses in 25 specializations at the postgraduate level.

Candidates who have passed MBBS from any Medical college which is recognized by the medical council of India. Candidates should have completed his/her rotating internship for one year after passing the MBBS examination on or before January 1 of the year of admission shall be eligible to apply.

Candidates must have got themselves registered (Provisional or Permanent) with any Medical Council (State or Central) to be eligible.

Seats will be filled up by the Admission Committee on the basis of the performance in the MBBS program and Interview except seats to be filled up by the office of DGHS, Government of India. Fill it up and send it with attested copies of required documents to the college along with demand draft of the application fees.

Note:

Candidates who want to avail the reservation facilities under SC/ST/OBC/OH quota are required to enclose the self-attested photocopy of their SC/ST/OBC/OH certificate issued by competent authority in the prescribed format.
In addition to this, OBC candidates has to furnish a declaration that he/she does not belong to the creamy layer of the society.
Candidates from the creamy layer and do not come under Central list are advised to mention their category as General.
It is mandatory for candidates to report at the college for the verification of his/her mark sheets and certificates, failing to which his/her candidature will be cancelled.

Bhavnagar Medical College Selection Process 2022

On the basis of NEET UG/PG scores, a merit list of NEET UG/PG will be prepared.

As per the rank, NEET UG/PG counselling is conducted by Medical Counselling Committee (MCC), for 50% All India Quota seats reserved for all government medical and dental colleges in India.
The remaining 50% state quota seats will be filled through common counselling conducted by designated authority of respective states.
Candidates whose names are forwarded by DGHS, after counselling, are required to report to the Director, Government Medical College, Bhavnagar.
The Director of GMC, Bhavnagar will verify the documents.
After his satisfaction, he shall direct candidates to deposit all required fees etc., immediately.
The original certificates submitted shall not be returned to the candidates till the course is completed.
Service holders will have to apply for study leave and are required to produce the orders wherein such leave has been sanctioned to them, from the competent authority within three months of joining the course.
