Established in the year 1972, the Agricultural Engineering College and Research Institute, Trichy, Tamil Nadu is a constituent educational institution of the famed Tamil Nadu Agricultural University. Situated at a distance of just 25km from Trichy, the campus of the college is spread across over 280 acres and includes experimental farm, high-end infrastructural facilities and academic, co-curricular and extra-curricular activities. It is the only constituent of the Tamil Nadu Agricultural University offering B.Tech. (Agrl. Engg.) Degree for producing technocrats who can solve the issues of population explosion, ethnic energy crisis, labor shortage, environmental stress, food and fuel shortages, intensive resource inventory towards alleviation of poverty and various others that have been plaguing the country.
