New Delhi: The Tamil Nadu Agricultural University (TNAU) has begun the counselling process to fill 413 seats under the 7.5% reservation quota for students who attended State government schools from Class VI to XII.
The announcement of UG Counselling by TNAU was announced by Vice-Chancellor V. Geethalakshmi. Almost a total of 1,006 of the 7,755 applicants who submitted applications for 12 courses were denied after verification.
Thus, in order to fill 395 academic seats and 18 vocational seats, the undergraduate counselling will be provided to the 6,602 eligible students.
According to the V-C, the students under this are exempted from paying the total cost of INR 90,225 rupees (INR 50,225 for the course and INR 40,000 for hostel fee) that was mandated by the government order issued by the Department of Agriculture and Farmers' Welfare in March 2022.
Ms. Geethalakshmi stated that the general quota counselling will take place on December 8, 2022. Further, she stated that classes will start in January 2023 once the 20% Indian Council of Agricultural Research (ICAR) quota from throughout the country has been met.
Meanwhile, the TNAU has released the list of candidates called for certificate verification under the State Government School Studied quota (7.5% quota). Such candidates were required to report to the campus on December 5, 2022.
