The Delhi Music Society laid the foundation of Delhi School of Music in 1966. The school teaches western classical music and is among the premier institutions in the country. It is a non-profit institution that caters 1300 to 1400 students annually and provides courses on musical instruments (Piano, Violin, Viola, Cello, Guitar, Recorder, Keyboard, Flute, Saxophone, Clarinet, Drums), singing and dance. DSM offers only two courses i.e. Certificate in Music (Hindustani/ Vocal) and Diploma in Music. There is no entrance exam for the admission. Delhi School of Music Admission

Admissions at Delhi School of Music Delhi is merit-based. An applicant with a 10+2/ Diploma/ PG Diploma/ Graduate/ PG degree is eligible to apply for admission at the college.

How to apply?

Students seeking admission to the institute must fill the online admission form. Below is the online admission process for the courses offered:

Delhi School of Music Faculty

The college has experienced and well-qualified faculties. There are 17 Piano, 6 Keyboard, 5 Voice, 5 Violin, 8 Guitar, 2 Drum, 2 Flute, and 1 Ballet faculty at the institute. The students attending instrumental music classes are taught individually by the teacher while dance students are taught in groups, voice classes may be held either individually or in groups.
