Aspirant seeking admission in 2-year full-time Ph.D program should have completed a Master’s Degree in any of the courses conducted by the School or its equivalent conducted by any other recognized University/Institution.

Eligibility Criteria

The applicant must have Master degree in Planning/Architecture with a CGPA of 6.5 or 60% marks in case of General/OBC/EWS, whereas in case of SC/ST/PH candidates a CGPA of 6.0 or 55% marks in the qualifying degree.

Selection Criteria

Candidates need to appear in a written test.
Those clearing the written test have to appear for viva-voce with respect to the area of research interest with a brief PowerPoint Presentation.
Candidates possessing valid GATE/JRF/CEED score, any other institutional scholarship / sponsorship including ICCR and self financed (OCI & PIO) foreign scholars with self financing or ICCR sponsored or bilateral fellowships are also granted admission.

What is it like to study at the School of Planning and Architecture (Delhi, Bhopal, Vijayawada)?

One of my friends recently graduated from the School of Planning and Architecture Delhi. Here is some snippet of his experience.

The campus is situated at the heart of the city. It is split into two blocks. There is hardly any space for extra-curricular activities.
The faculty base is quite good and they also bring visiting professors, guest lecturers, etc. However, there is a lack of a research interface.
The administration operates the same way as any other Govt. organization.

Overall, you will have a unique experience on campus.
