Offline Process :

Candidates need to download the application form from the official website of the college.
Fill in the personal details and academic details as per required.
Pay the application fee and send it to SPA Vijayawada by post/courier.
Application fee for Ph.D. per course is INR.3,000/- for General/OBC/EWS categories and INR 2,000/- for SC/ST/PH categories and should be paid through online only.
Application fee for PG per course is INR.2,000/- for General/OBC/EWS categories and Rs. 1,000/- for SC/ST/PH categories and should be paid via online mode.

The scanned copy of the application with all the necessary documents can also be sent to admissions@spav.ac.in.
However, the submission of a hard copy of the application is mandatory without which the application shall not be considered.

Eligibility Criteria

Aspirant seeking admission in 3-year full-time Ph.D. program should have completed a Master’s Degree in any of the courses conducted by the School or its equivalent conducted by any other recognized University/Institution.

Eligibility Criteria

The applicant must have Master degree in Planning/Architecture with a CGPA of 6.5 or 60% marks in case of General/OBC/EWS, whereas in case of SC/ST/PH candidates a CGPA of 6.0 or 55% marks in the qualifying degree.

Selection Criteria

Candidates need to appear in a written test.
Those clearing the written test have to appear for viva-voce with respect to the area of research interest with a brief PowerPoint Presentation.
Candidates possessing valid GATE/JRF/CEED score, any other institutional scholarship / sponsorship including ICCR and self financed (OCI & PIO) foreign scholars with self financing or ICCR sponsored or bilateral fellowships are also granted admission.

One of my friends recently graduated from the School of Planning and Architecture Delhi. Here is some snippet of his experience.

The campus is situated at the heart of the city. It is split into two blocks. There is hardly any space for extra-curricular activities.
The faculty base is quite good and they also bring visiting professors, guest lecturers, etc. However, there is a lack of a research interface.
The administration operates the same way as any other Govt. organization.

Overall, you will have a unique experience on campus.
