Candidates applying for admission in this program should have have the following criterias:-
- An Arts student securing a minimum of 45 % marks in aggregate at the Qualifying Board Examination and 45 % marks in the subject wished to offer as Honours are eligible to appear for the Entrance Test/ Interview in the subject of interest.
- An Arts/ Science/Commerce student securing 50% marks in the aggregate are eligible to appear for the Entrance tests in subject not offered at the Class XII Board Examination.
- To opt for English Honours students are required to secure 60 % marks in General English and 50 % marks in aggregate at the Qualifying Board Examination to be eligible to appear for the Entrance test in English.
- Students from Boards other than Meghalaya Board of School Education are required to secure a minimum of 60 % marks in aggregate to be eligible for appearing in the Entrance tests.
Intake:-
Section A - 50 students for each Honours Subject.
Section B - 50 students for each Honours Subject.

Please Note
- Students must compulsorily opt for the elective paper of the subject in which they wish to study.
- Apart from the Elective subjects the following subjects are to be studied compulsorily:
- General English
- Environmental studies (for the third year)
- Value Education: Moral Ethics/Catechism/Scripture.
- Students opting for English Honours must compulsorily study Elective English in addition to three more pass Elective subjects.
- Students opting for Geography/Nutrition/Mathematics as one of the elective subjects are not required to take English Paper II in Second Year.
- English Paper II is however compulsory for Geography Honours students.
- First paper in MIL or Alternative English is compulsory in the Second Year for all students except for those opting for English Honours.
- Second Paper in MIL or Alternative English is compulsory only for pass course students in the Third Year.
- Students opting for English Honours are required to take Elective English in lieu of Alternative English and General English.
- Students opting for English Honours with Geography or Nutrition or Mathematics as one of the pass Elective subjects are not required to take the Environmental Studies paper in the Third Year.
- Students opting for Nutrition are required to participate in the Certificate Course on ‘Preservation of Fruits and Vegetables’ conducted by the Food and Nutrition Board, a Govt of India Project in the College Home Science Laboratory.
- Apart from Honours Course, the College also offers B.A. Pass Course with the above mentioned compulsory and elective subjects (apart from Geography).
