Sourashtra College is a Linguistic Minority, Co-Educational College, located in Madurai and was established in 1967. It is affiliated with Madurai Kamaraj University.

This college offers both Aided Courses and Self-Finance Courses in B.A., B.Com, B.Sc., BBA and BCA program at the undergraduate level and M.A., M.Com, M.Sc., MBA, and MCA degree program at the postgraduate level.

For admission in the undergraduate program, candidates must have passed 10+2 or equivalent exam from a recognized board with 35% marks in aggregate.
For B.Sc. courses, candidates must have Physics, Chemistry, Mathematics and/or Biology as subjects in Class XII.
Selection of candidates for undergraduate courses is based on the merit in the qualifying exam (10+2) and as per the cut-off list released by the college.
To be eligible for postgraduate courses, candidates must have passed Bachelor’s Degree with the minimum aggregate of 50% marks or equivalent CGPA of any of the Universities incorporated by an act of the central or state legislature in India.
Admission in MCA and MBA courses will also be based on TANCET scores, admission to MBA courses will also be done on the basis of MAT Score.
In MBA and MCA, 30% seats are filled through the counselling of TANCET and remaining 70% seats are filled in by the management.
Students with vocational subjects in Commerce are given admission in 20% seats in courses like B.Com, BBA and B.Com with Computer Applications.
Admission to M.Phil. and Ph.D. program is done on the basis of Personal Interview conducted by Madurai Kamaraj University.
Candidate must have obtained Master’s degree in relevant discipline with 70% aggregate marks for eligibility.
