Course Curriculum Overview:

The faculty is well qualified and teaches you very well and as a physics student, you'll spend a great amount of your time in the lab doing experiments as well as solving problems using Scilab. There are mid-term exams (internal exams) which generally happen in the mid of the semester and then a final exam and they are pretty easy to pass.

Remarks:

The first step is to fill out the online application for DU and then based on the cutoff you can reach out to the particular college. Shivaji College offers 3% relaxation to the girl's students. However, since now the admission procedure is entrance based so there might be some changes. one can refer to the official website of college to get a clear idea of the admission procedure.

Course Curriculum Overview:

I chose this course because the professors of Delhi University are extremely knowledgeable and since it's a premier University in India with a ranking in the top 10(that time) so I thought that I can learn a lot about physics at DU. The exams were moderate.

Remarks:

The admission process was based on the marks of class 12 and they were checking the marks for PCM i.e. Physics, Chemistry, and Maths and they require more than 92% in their second cut-off list for admission in Bsc Physics Hons, the forms can be found in the official website of DU and there are also reservation benefits for EWS, OBC(Non-creamy layer), SC and ST. There was also 2% relaxation for females in my college.

I chose chemistry because I wanted to study it. Shivaji College has around 30 students in this course the faculty teachers are good and they did Ph.D. and their teaching method is good. Semester exams were conducted and an exam was also conducted for internal assessment marks.

Remarks:

A cuet exam is conducted by Delhi University and after that colleges under Delhi University announce their cut-off. For Shivaji college it was around 93 % for BSc (H) chemistry course. The application will be found on the official website of Delhi University. If you want a smooth admission process just check the website daily and remember the password.

Course Curriculum Overview:

* With th stream i chose i had only 3 options for hons course i.e hindi, english and political science. The cut off for english and pol sci were higher than expected and what i scored so i wasn't eligible for those courses which lead to me opting for hindi. * The ratio of students and lecturers is pretty good, each subject is taught by atleast 3 teachers over the semester. * The knowledge that lecturers carry is phenomenal and majority of them are holding Phd degree. * The Exams are held timely as they are mentioned in academic calender and are neither too easy nor too difficult to pass.

Remarks:

* During the time took admission the university used to announce the cut off lists for the each colleges under it and admissions were on merit base but now onwards entrance test is being conducted for admission. * The application form could be found on the official website of the University of Delhi, the application charges are under Rs1000 and every year around the month of April-may the admissions for new batches starts. * There are Benefits for people falling in different types of reservation categories like Pwd,sc,st,obc,Ews etc. Students under these Categories are either charged less fee, get relaxation in percentage during admissions and so on. * The admission process is sofar take place in online mode only so nothing to complaint about or suggestions to change or improve something but process after admission during exams like document verification should be held online for convinience of students.

My course in B.Com (Hons). To get admission every student was supposed to give CUET exam. The syllabus was almost same as the syllabus of Class 12 CBSE Board. Which college is better, Kalindi or Shivaji?

● Top Answer By Surbhi Sharma on 18 Jan 22

Ans
According to the reviews online, Shivaji College is better than Kalindi College. Here are some reasons as to why: It is one of the four colleges under Delhi University that offers Biochemistry.  The faculty of Physics, Zoology, Botany and Mathematics are the most highly experienced. There are also newer teachers who conduct interactive teaching sessions. The auditorium is comparatively smaller than other DU colleges. Classrooms and washrooms are well maintained. They are cleaned regularly. Shivaji is a co-education college whereas Kalindi is only for girls. Shivaji is much better considering infrastructure and opportunities. They also encourage extracurricular activities for the holistic development of the students. Categories Kalindi College Shivaji College Course Fee INR 30,000 INR 29,000 Placement Percentage - 60-80% Average CTC 3-4 LPA 6 LPA Recruiting Companies HCL, Tech Mahindra, etc. Cognizant, Amazon, etc. Lastly, you should keep in mind to choose the course over the college. Ques

Which is the better option between Shivaji College (BMS) or Satyawati College (B.Com Honours)?

● Top Answer By Puja Verma on 17 Jan 22

Ans
It’s difficult to choose between these two choices, as the courses mentioned in the question are different. Between B.Com and BMS, the former offer better scope comparably. BMS will be good for you if you want a career in Management.  Doing a BMS degree from Shivaji College will be comparably better because of the following reasons.  BMS offers practical exposure rather than theoretical knowledge. BMS offers more placement opportunities. As it has more demand in the corporate world.  Shivaji College is better than Satyawati.  Although you should keep in mind that B.Com (Hons) gives basic knowledge regarding all fields of the corporate world i.e. Accountancy, Management, Statistics, Law, etc.

Ques

Which college is better for a BBE, Maharaja Agrasen College or Shivaji College?

● Top Answer By Suhani Singh, on 25 Nov 21

Ans
Among Maharaja Agrasen College (MAC) and Shivaji College, the former is known to be a strict and disciplined institution while the latter is much lenient. MAC has a better reputation as an educational institution. They have a better and well experienced faculty. Teachers in Shivaji are mostly careless and often miss classes. This hampers the studies and eventually they fail to complete the syllabus. MAC unlike Shivaji is very strict about its academics. They are even strict about maintaining an 80% attendance. But, all in all ultimately everything depends on the student and their hard work and dedication towards the course. Because the colleges are more or less the same, it is how you prepare yourself for your career ahead.

Which college is the best among Motilal Nehru, PGDAV, Shyam Lal, Shivaji and Ramanujan?

● Top Answer By Harshita Mitra on 03 Nov 21

Ans
Ramanujan and Shivaji are the best options. Shivaji will offer you a great campus experience compared to the other colleges mentioned here. Whereas, Ramanujan will offer great infrastructural facilities.  You can go to Motilal Nehru if you really want to get into the south campus. However, students usually go to Ramanujan or Shivaji after making the cutoff. So, choose wisely.

Which is better among Atma Ram Sanatan Dharma College, Rajdhani College, Keshav Mahavidyalaya, Deshbandhu College or Shivaji College of Delhi University?

● Top Answer By Preeti Sangwan, on 24 Nov 21

Ans
Among the colleges mentioned it will be better if you go for Atma Ram Sanatan Dharma college.  It is better in terms of connectivity, crowd and extracurriculars. Academically, it depends on what course you are willing to opt for.  Atma Ram is the best among them. It is the best in Arts, Science and Commerce. Categories Atma Ram Sanatan Dharma College Course Fee INR 39,000 Placement Percentage 80% Highest CTC 15 LPA Average CTC 5 LPA Recruiting Companies TCS, Amazon, McKinsey, EY, etc. Here is how your preference should be. At first it is Atma Ram, followed by Deshbandhu College. If you are not able to get admission in both of these, then opt for Keshav Mahavidyalaya or Rajdhani College.
