Read Full Reviewi like the curriculum that the university of delhi has chosen for us students, it is really interesting and the literature is very fun to read. i personally love the course and the way my teachers teach me. the curriculum is comprehensive and i feel it is important to be read. other readings and help books can also be found in the college library and the xerox shop inside the college.
the eligibility of the course was probably English + GT, i am not sure you can search it up on google. cuet samarth .in is the website where you fill out the application form, the fees and then you also get allotted your college through the same. you are required to give the CUET exam, which is on moderate to high level. prepare for it rigorously if you want to get into an A++++ grade college.

When you are admitted to one of the DU colleges, you place a high value on education. There are many amenities in college that other colleges do not have, one of which is the Largest Auditorium at DU.
It's a good college with friendly students. The seniors are helpful. There are numerous co-curricular societies to which one can belong. Ragging is prohibited at the college because of the anti-ragging policy. Except for a few, the teachers have extensive experience and training. The building's infrastructure is adequate, and the classrooms are also spacious. There is a fantastic library as well. The canteen is excellent. The ground is in good condition and is well-maintained.
Both Satyavati and PGDAV colleges are good in their own way.
PGDAV College is a co-educational institution. It is known for its excellence in academics, sports and other extracurricular activities. It provides more opportunities, better environment and better faculties.
Satyawati college has earned its reputation as a centre of academic excellence. It has established its reputation in various fields. They have a good faculty. Though it cannot be compared with the best DU colleges, it has a reputation of its own.
Among the four colleges it is recommended you go for Motilal Nehru College as it is much better in all aspects than the others mentioned.
Motilal is the second best college of South Campus after Shri Venkiteshwara and it boasts its infrastructure having the biggest library in the entire Delhi University. The history department is the best in Motilal.
My cousin sister recently graduated from Satyawati College with her English (Hons). To be precise, the experience wasn’t as pleasant as she expected. Here are some crucial insights regarding the college and faculty according to her first-hand experience.
Categories | Shyam Lal College | Satyawati College |
Course Fee | 29.75 - 52.35 K | 22.96 - 52.32 K |
Highest CTC | 5.5 LPA | 3.4 LPA |
Average CTC | 2.5 LPA | 1.5 LPA |
Recruiting Companies | TCS, HP, Infosys, Tech Mahindra, etc. | KAN Universal Private Limited, Signori Armadio, Infosys, Deloitte, etc. |
However, one of her friends did her English (Hons.) from Shyamlal College which turned out to be quite well and continued to go for higher studies in the same. But due to my sister’s awful experience at Satyawati, she eventually lost interest in the subject.
Moreover, before taking admission into any DU college you must do thorough research on its faculty. Some colleges have really awful faculty which plays a huge role in your career.
It’s difficult to choose between these two choices, as the courses mentioned in the question are different. Between B.Com and BMS, the former offer better scope comparably. BMS will be good for you if you want a career in Management.
Doing a BMS degree from Shivaji College will be comparably better because of the following reasons.
Although you should keep in mind that B.Com (Hons) gives basic knowledge regarding all fields of the corporate world i.e. Accountancy, Management, Statistics, Law, etc.
If you are considering pursuing a Bachelor of Commerce (BCom) degree from the University of Delhi (DU), you may be wondering which college to choose from. Among the options available, namely Ramanujan College, Satyawati College, and Shyam Lal College, Ramanujan College stands out as a top choice.
Here are some reasons why Ramanujan College could be the best option for you:
Ramanujan College could be the best choice for you if you are looking for a BCom degree from DU. With its excellent teaching faculty, supportive non-teaching staff, modern infrastructure, and convenient location, Ramanujan College can provide you with a fulfilling and enriching college experience.
Rajdhani college is said to be better than Aryabhatta and Satyawati if the crowd is considered.
Rajdhani is a very underrated college, students often ignore its capability of being a good institution. The crowd here is unlike what is usually pictured. They are highly knowledgeable and determined to their goals. They are hardworking and dedicated individuals who are also driven. Being a college under DU, their students are also highly competitive which creates a disciplined environment.
Like every other college they also have a mix of good and bad students, but due to the presence of the good students the others are encouraged to do good as well.
There is no official ranking of Satyawati College, University of Delhi. However, the institute was accredited with an ‘A’ grade by NAAC. The student crowd for streams like Economics/Political Science/BCom is decent. There are also many active student societies. The institute offers ample internship, placement and other opportunities to the students.
DU’s Satyawati College is an off-campus college with decent infrastructure and facilities. The crowd on campus is quite good. Seniors are cooperative. The teachers are also helpful. There are various societies which will help you enhance your skills and give you a chance to explore. According to Satyawati College placement highlights, the average CTC offered ranges around 6 LPA.
Both Swami Shradhananad College and Satyawati College are decent colleges under DU. Here are some of the factors that can help you choose among one of these two colleges.
