Queen Mary’s College came into existence in 1915 in Chennai, Tamil Nadu. The college is affiliated to University of Madras, Chennai.
The college offers BA, B.Com and B.Sc. courses at the UG level and MA, M.Sc., and M.Com at the PG level. In addition to this, Queen Mary College is also known for offering research courses of M.Phil and Ph.D.

- For admission in Ph.D., candidates must have obtained M.Phil/ M.Litt degrees in the concerned subjects with minimum 55% marks.
- Candidates are selected on the basis of the entrance examination conducted by the University of Madras, which consists of a written test and an oral test.
