Mahadevananda Mahavidyalaya is a co-educational day College situated in Kolkata, West Bengal. The college was originally affiliated to the University of Calcutta. The affiliation of the college has now moved to the West Bengal State University, Barasat.

It was established on August 15, 1968. Mahadevananda Mahavidyalaya offers undergraduate level honors and general degree programs in the disciplines of Arts, Science, Commerce and Computer Applications to eligible students.

  • Prospective candidates may apply by filling the online application form available at the institute website.
  • The application fee can be paid through bank challan method or via online methods. Candidates having 55% marks in the Honors subject or related subject in the previous qualifying examination (10+2) are eligible to apply.
  • Marks obtained in Environmental Studies/ Science as compulsory subject in 10+2 examination shall not be taken into account for calculating the aggregate marks in best four subjects for the purpose of admission.
  • Candidates are selected on the basis of merit, i.e. marks obtained in the last qualifying exam.

Mahadevananda Mahavidyalaya B.Sc, BA, B.Com Admission 2023

Mahadevananda College offers a plethora of undergraduate level Honors and General degree courses Arts, Science and Commerce disciplines. It offers B.Sc. (Honors) in 7 subjects. The same subjects are offered under B.Sc. (General) with additional 7 subjects. For BA Honors and General, the college offers 8 main subjects. Additional BA (General) subjects include Economics, Sanskrit, Journalism and Physical Education. B.Com (Honors) program is offered with specialization in Accountancy & Finance and Marketing.

The basic eligibility criteria for admission to these programs is a pass in 10+2/ H.S. in the relevant stream from a recognized board/ institute. Honors candidates are required to meet the additional eligibility criteria of securing at least 50% aggregate marks (best five) with 45% marks in the Honors subject. Mahadevananda Mahavidyalaya Application Process 2022

Mahadevananda Mahavidyalaya accepts applications from eligible candidates for its various courses through online mode only. The detailed process of application is as follows:

  • Visit the institute website and fill the online application form made available within the stipulated dates.
  • All particulars requested in the application form must be filled correctly.
  • Upon completion, candidate must submit the application form online and take a print out of the same for final verification.
  • The application fee can be paid though online mode using credit/ debit card or net-banking, and offline though bank challan for which a payment link is provided by the college website for the purpose.
  • Candidate should keep the proof of fee-payment for future reference.
  • Candidate must also heck the Application Fee Paid-list on the college website.
  • After submission of the application form, candidate must keep checking the college website for the final merit list.
  • Candidates whose name are on the merit list must attend the institute level counselling on the prescribed date(s).
