Guru Nanak Khalsa College for Women was established in 1975. In the year 2000 the college got affiliation from Panjab University, Chandigarh. On April 9, 2003 Shiromani Gurdwara Parbandhak Committee, Sri Amritsar took the college under its management. Thereafter, it has been excelling in every sphere-academics, sports, N.S.S, cultural and religious activities. Thereby it personifies complete growth and empowerment of the girl Students. A Creditable pass percentage in various programmes is worth praise. The College imparts quality exposure and conductive growth to students both in curricular and co-curricular activities.

The college has department of Physics, Chemistry and Biology has advanced labs. A fully networking Computer Lab is also available for students.
