The Master of Science in Finance Program (M.Sc.) is a thesis-based program that provides students with a theoretical background in contemporary finance issues and a strong foundation in empirical research methods.
The first year of the two-year curriculum is devoted to course work while the thesis is the second year focus.
Due to the research-intensive nature of the program and individual student supervision at the thesis stage, applicants are carefully adjudicated and enrolment is limited.
Only a handful of universities across North American offer programs that have a similar research focus at the Master’s level.
The degree can be used as a platform for students who wish to pursue a Ph.D. and it equips students with a competitive advantage in jobs that have a significant research component.

Academic Eligibility:

Applicants must have a four-year undergraduate degree in a field relevant to Finance
The cumulative weighted average of at least 70% (U of S grade system equivalent) in the last two years of study (i.e. 60 credit units).
Students must have a GPA of 2.7 on a 4.0 scale.
Proof of English proficiency may be required for international applicants, whose first language is not English.
Four-year honors degree program.
Students must be qualified in IELTS or TOEFL and GMAT to get admission in this program.

Indian Student Eligibility:

Indian students are eligible to apply if they meet one of the following eligibility criteria:

Completed a 4-year UG degree with first class in a relevant field from a recognized institution
Completed a master degree with first class in a relevant field from a recognized institution

Required Documents are:

Three academic or professional references: Three Letters of recommendation (completed via an online application process, no need to send to CGPS from the issuing institution)
CV/Resume: Resume/CV should be a one or two page concise summary of skills, experience, and education.
Offer Letter: Students must submit have an offer letter.
Test Results: Provide proof of English proficiency, if English is not the first language in student country, as proof of IELTS/TOEFL result scores is to be submitted.
