- Master of Science in Chemistry at the University of Saskatchewan is offered as a 2-year teaching program.
- This course is offered on a full-time (2-year). This program is Thesis based and Course-based and it has a co-op work option.
- In order to be eligible to participate in a full-time Co-op Work Term, students must meet the GPA requirements.

- The Department of Chemistry offers research-intensive programs leading to M.Sc. and Ph.D. degrees. Research activities cover modern aspects of analytical, organic, inorganic, physic, and theoretical chemistry.
- In addition, several interdisciplinary fields are emphasized including bioorganic chemistry, biological chemistry, electrochemistry, spectroscopy and photochemistry, chemical structure, and interfacial and surface phenomena.
- In order to promote research, the department maintains close ties with other science and engineering departments, the National Research Council, and other government institutions on campus.
