The University of Saskatchewan offers an MSc in Biostatistics for a duration of 2 years (4 terms).
This course is offered on a full-time basis and part-time also. The program consists of two options: thesis and project option for a minimum of 30 units.
Through this program, students will have the opportunity to explore developments in theoretical statistics and the application of this theory in the life sciences.
In this program, students with opportunities to study and conduct research in such areas as:
Design and analysis of clinical trials
Longitudinal data analysis
Analysis of complex survey data
Measurement error
Survival analysis
Computational statistics
Multivariate statistics.

Important Dates

Applications are accepted year round. Students may begin their program in January, May or September each year.

Academic Eligibility:

Applicants have a cumulative weighted average of at least 70% in the last two years of study (i.e. 60 credit units).
A four-year honors degree, or equivalent, from a recognized college or university in an academic discipline.
Students have a relevant degree in the field of studies such as mathematics, statistics, applied statistics, biostatistics, quantitative psychology, or any other discipline with a strong background in mathematics or statistics.
Proof of English proficiency may be required for international applicants, whose first language is not English.
Students need to submit the result of the GRE exam score, the minimum score should be 309 out of 340.
Students must be qualified in IELTS or TOEFL to get admission in this program.

Indian Student Eligibility:

Indian students are eligible to apply if they meet one of the following eligibility criteria:

Completed a 4-year UG degree with first class in a relevant field from a recognized institution.
Completed a master’s degree with first-class in a relevant field from a recognized institution.

Three academic or professional references: Three Letters of recommendation (completed via an online application process, no need to send to CGPS from the issuing institution)
CV/Resume: A resume/CV should be a one or two-page concise summary of skills, experience, and education.
Offer Letter: Students must submit have an offer letter.
Test Results: Provide proof of English proficiency, if English is not the first language in student country, as proof of IELTS/TOEFL result scores is to be submitted.
