The University of Saskatchewan offers a Ph.D. in Applied Microbiology with a duration of 4 years.
This course is offered on a full-time and part-time basis also. This program is provided both on-campus and off-campus.
In this program, students will study the microbial world and the way it interacts with their own and also can harness and utilize the powers of the microbes in areas ranging from biotechnology to pest control, to bio-refineries, and more.
In the program, students will introduce the areas that involve the development and application of science and technology in pre-and post-harvest agriculture and in adding value to primary agriculture products
The faculty and student ratio for this program are 1:17.

Academic Eligibility:

Applicants have a cumulative weighted average of at least 80% in the last two years of full-time undergraduate study (i.e. 60 credit units of course work).
Students have a four-year honor, or equivalent degree, from a recognized university or college.
Proof of English proficiency may be required for international applicants, whose first language is not English.
Admission is offered on an ongoing basis until all seats are filled.
Students must be qualified in IELTS or TOEFL to get admission to this program.

Students must have graduated from a university or college in a related field or equivalent
