Thompson Rivers University popularly known as TRU is nestled in two campuses. The main campus of the Thompson Rivers University is the Kamloops campus which stands across the confluence of the North Thompson and South Thompson rivers where the school derived its name.

Work Study Program

Work-Study is a TRU-funded financial assistance program that allows Canadian students to work part-time on campus in jobs that complement their studies. If your program eligibility is approved, the online roster of jobs will show which individual positions are open for job applications, and the status of individual positions will be updated when they are filled.

  • Under the program, students are allowed to work up to 20 hours per week and earn on an average 2,400-3,000 CAD per month.
  • A work permit for Canada is required for up to two years after graduation if they study for up to two-year at TRU.
