Queen’s University welcomes international students from more than 100 countries. Annually, over two-third of the Queen’s incoming students are recognized through the Queen’s University Scholarships and the external scholarships accepted at the university.

Selections for various scholarships are based on the admission average, no matter which level of study you choose. Nonetheless, check all the Queen’s University Scholarships and external scholarship programs.

Queen’s University Scholarships for Bachelor Students

Undergraduate international students at the university are considered for admission scholarships. Every year, over 50% of Queen’s bachelor program entrants receive Queen’s University Scholarships.

You must note that to be eligible for Queen’s University Scholarships for undergraduate students, you must have an admission average of 90% and above. Students failing to meet this requirement will not be considered for any undergraduate scholarships.

Presently, international students are offered only four Queen’s University scholarships at the undergraduate level.

Note:No single student will receive more than one undergraduate scholarship.

Since all the Queen’s University Scholarships for undergraduate students are grade-based, no additional scholarship application is required. Eligible students will be automatically considered and evaluated for each scholarship, based on their admission applications.

Queen’s University Scholarships for Masters Students

International students entering Queen’s masters program are not just awarded scholarships, rather they are offered a combination of stipends, bursaries, scholarships, and employment opportunities.

There are no specific scholarships for graduate students at the university level, international scholarships are offered by each faculty of the Queen’s Graduate School. These Queen’s University Scholarships are an integral part of the graduate admission process.

For the 2022 entry, it's announced that each faculty will be setting their own deadlines for admissions, studentships, and scholarships. International students are advised to contact their chosen program’s faculty for further information.

Queen’s University Scholarships for Doctoral Students

To the doctoral students, the university doesn’t provide any Queen’s University Scholarships, except the International tuition Award. This award valued at 5000 CAD is offered to every incoming international doctoral student.

Apart from this, Queen’s doctoral program students receive a minimum funding of 18,000 CAD per year. This is guaranteed for 4 years if the recipient remains in good academic standing.

Note: Majority of research-based masters students also receive substantial funding packages.

External Scholarships Accepted at Queen’s University

Recognizing that not all students may be able to fulfill the eligibility criteria for Queen’s University Scholarships, it allows students to apply for external scholarships. The Canadian government, trusts, corporate organizations offer international students various scholarships to study in Canada’s prestigious universities like Queen’s University.
