Academic Eligibility:

• Official transcripts from all institutions (domestic or international) previously or presently attended, secondary schools, colleges, and universities (Domestic and international applicants who have attended postsecondary institutions outside of North America must have their transcripts assessed (Credential Evaluation Report, including a Course-By-Course Analysis) by World Education Services.
• Completion of an International Baccalaureate (IB) diploma with a minimum score of 5 or better in HL or SL English A: Literature or HL or SL English A: Language and Literature. 
• Graduate from a regionally accredited US secondary school and achieve a minimum score of 4 or better in Advanced Placement (AP) English Language & Composition or English Literature & Composition.
• Achieve a minimum grade of B in GCSE, IGCSE, or GCE Ordinary Level English Literature or English Language, a minimum grade of C in GCE A Level or AS Level or AICE or CAPE English or English Language, or a minimum score of M3 in Cambridge Pre-U English.

Indian Eligibility:

Indian students are eligible to apply if they meet one of the following eligibility criteria:

• Achieve a minimum score of 75% or better in the All India Senior Secondary School Certificate (ISSC) Core or Functional English or the Indian School Certificate (ISC) English, issued by the Council for the Indian School Certificate Examinations (CISCE). 

Along with the minimum eligibility requirements, international students hailing from non-English speaking countries need to prove English proficiency through IELTS/TOEFL/any equivalent test to get admission to this program.

An English degree opens up a diverse range of career paths by giving students a broad base of key skills. Graduates of our program have found work in teaching, library science, journalism, technical writing, publishing, student services, and law. Other careers open to them include editing, copywriting, education technology, marketing, public relations, public or non-profit administration, and civil service.
