Masters of Arts in Anthropology at the University of Alberta allows students to complete this course in 2 years.
This program train students in anthropological theory and methodologies through course and fieldwork.
Students graduate with knowledge and skills that prepare them to continue in academia or pursue professional careers both in and outside of anthropology.
During the course of their program, MA students will be required to attend two two-hour professional Development Workshops offered by the Department.

Academic Eligibility:

Students must have a four-year undergraduate degree in a relevant field from a recognized university.
A grade point average (GPA) of 3.3 out of 4.0 in the last 2 years (approximately 60 credits) of post-secondary study is required.
Students with a degree in a different discipline are advised to complete at least one year of senior-level undergraduate coursework in anthropology before applying for a graduate degree program.
If English is not the student's first language then they must provide proof of English competency.

Indian Student Eligibility:

Students require an undergraduate degree from a recognized institution with 60% First Class Standing/Division.
Students may also hold a bachelor's degree of 4 years.
GPA required by Indian students is 7.90 in 10 points.
