  • In the state-of-the-art labs designed for water management, soil mechanics, or surveying, students will get practical experience with the tools and equipment will use in the field.
  • Through labs, lectures, and projects, students will also:
    • Learn how to plan and execute the construction of complex facilities such as buildings, bridges, dams, and tunnels
    • Develop strategies to manage water resources, transportation, and waste disposal
    • Conduct environmental impact assessments and assist urban planners
  • In the third year of study, students may choose to take one of three specialization options:
    • Civil Infrastructure
    • Environmental
    • Construction Engineering and Management
  • The co-op program gives the chance to complete paid work terms that last 12 to 16 weeks.
  • As a co-op, the student will work for engineering firms where students may:
    • Study the geometric and pavement design of roads
    • Assess building equipment and systems
    • Inspect various construction sites
  • This program is accredited by the Engineers Canada and students will graduate eligible to become a registered professional engineer.
