his program offers state of the art knowledge of new ways of storytelling merging analog and digital technologies for the physical and the digital worlds. Students will learn concepts and techniques to develop complex communication projects using a wide range of media.

Located in historic Phelps Hall, the Mass Communication Department features a host of high-tech labs and multimedia classrooms. ?Phelps is home to the campus radio station, KQAL, where many of our students work and volunteer, both on-air and behind-the-scenes. ?Our facilities also include a modern television studio, audio lab, high-end workstations, a darkroom, a transmedia ?makerspace? lab, portrait and advertising photography studio, and a wide array of photo and video equipment available for checkout.

Our faculty are engaged in their disciplines, actively working on their scholarship, on creative endeavors, and other projects with their students? learning at the forefront of their work. ?Our staff will provide additional help with equipment, internships, and extracurricular activities. ?You?ll be able to work closely with real clients in real situations, on real campaigns, publications, and productions.
