WSU accounting students are also prepared for furthering their formal education at the graduate level. Our students regularly perform at a higher than national average on the CPA exam.
At WSU you may choose your area of concentration such as:
- Financial
- Managerial
- Tax
- Governmental
- Management Advisory Services
The undergraduate major consists of at least 120 credits. Accounting majors take foundation courses in the College of Business such as business statistics, business law, marketing, management and finance. In addition to these courses, students take classes in financial accounting, managerial accounting, taxation, auditing, accounting information systems and accounting computer applications. Students have the opportunity to specialize in any of these areas through their elective classes.
