Learning Math Adds Value
For part of the degree, you take at least 32 hours of upper-level math courses. That’s considered a full math major. Getting to know discrete mathematics intimately and linear algebra concretely gives you the tools you need. Inspire high school students with your devotion to math and to paving their way to math jobs.
Education Courses Complete the Equation
You complement math courses with 31 hours of education courses. You take these so you’ll know how to reach each student who walks through your classroom door. Since you visit a school in the first education course you take, you get a sense from the beginning what teaching is really about.
As you move through the program, your education professors assess your growth as a teacher. Their doors are always open.
