The athletic training education program (ATEP) is accredited by the Commission for Accreditation of Athletic Training Education (CAATE). Upon successful completion of the program, students are eligible to take the Board of Certification (BOC) exam. Certified athletic trainers (ATs) are trained, skilled health care professionals who are directly responsible for the prevention, evaluation, immediate care, rehabilitation, and reconditioning of injuries.
