Our Department offers an accredited educational program in the field of radiation therapy. As radiation therapists, our primary responsibilities are to provide service delivery for patients who have been diagnosed with cancer.
Career opportunities for radiation therapists include positions as staff radiation therapists, clinical instructors, managers, administrators, sales/private industry, researchers and educators. Many graduates pursue graduate study in the fields of medicine, dentistry, and public health to name a few.
Individuals who already have a health background, particularly in the radiologic sciences can complete a B. S. degree in Radiation Therapy and continue to advance your professional career. Upon successful completion of all academic and financial responsibilities, you will then be eligible to sit for the national certification examination by the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists with specialization in radiation therapy.
