The School of Media and Public Affairs, part of the Columbian College of Arts and Sciences, provides a strong foundation to meet the challenges of a changing global media landscape. It helps students understand the media’s impact on the way we live, govern and connect. Admission is through a competitive process.
Related majors include American studies, history and international affairs. The School of Media and Public Affairs also offers a major in political communication and a minor in journalism and mass communication.
Through classes, hands-on work in our state-of-the-art production facilities and internships across D.C., students prepare for the challenges of journalism and digital media.
