In the Interior Design program offered by Baylor University, students learn technical skills and creative thinking as they build a portfolio. The program is also accredited by the Council for Interior Design Accreditation (CIDA).
Interior Design students must complete an internship for course credit. This can be either in a residential, commercial or a specialized area. Internships have been throughout Texas, across the country, and as far away as London.
The Interior Design program also offers Summer Study Tours. Past destinations include Great Britain, France, Belgium and Italy. These trips are at the beginning of the summer and are an exciting way to earn credit hours while experiencing art, culture and cuisine.
Graduates have gained employment through residential and commercial design firms and architectural firms. Other graduates establish their own name through freelance design.
