Students in the Geophysics major offered by Baylor University choose one of three concentrations: Environmental Geophysics, Earthquake Geophysics and Petroleum Exploration Geophysics.
The Baylor Geophysics program utilizes field and lab techniques to ensure thorough training. Students have access to advanced equipment like that used in professional fields of geophysicists. Graduates often continue their studies in graduate school. Many graduates teach or work for various government agencies. Others find positions in the oil and gas industry.
