In classes, you will master French by doing role-plays, engaging in debates, producing videos, and writing business letters, among many other hands-on activities.?

In literature and civilization classes, you will examine the key events, people, places, and texts that have shaped France and the Francophone world. Along the way, you may also study the history of French cinema, experience Digital Humanities through a Renaissance cookbook project, act in a French play, or learn how to cook French food.

After graduation, Carrie worked as a senior investigator at the Chicago Board of Trade for a few years and then headed to Morocco as a Peace Corps volunteer. Carrie next obtained her master?s degree from Georgetown University?s School of Foreign Service. Today she works in Washington, D.C., developing foreign policy with the Millennium Challenge.
