The College of Arts and Sciences offers interdisciplinary marine sciences double bachelor programs (marine science/biology, marine science/chemistry, and marine science/geology) culminating in the Bachelor of Science (B.S.) degree. These double-bachelor curricula provide the student a focused exposure to include general education requirements, single disciplinary requirements, and the interdisciplinary courses that represent studies in the field of marine science.
Students pursuing a marine science degree typically demonstrate a strong interest in some aspect of the marine environment and in the sciences in general. High school preparation should include a solid background in mathematics and introductory biology and/or chemistry.
