The program is one of only 12 undergraduate programs approved by the American Association of Professional Landmen in the U.S. and Canada and one of only two offered by a private institution. Students develop a solid foundation in finance, energy accounting, energy law, resource economics, and energy markets, combined with knowledge of geology, petroleum engineering, geographic information systems and other technical disciplines that are vital to the effective operations of today?s energy companies. With a unique curriculum and strong industry support, our program prepares students for employment opportunities in the upstream (exploration and production), midstream (trading and transporting of energy commodities) and downstream (refining and marketing) oil and gas sectors, as well as the electric utility and renewable sectors of the energy industry.
