DESIGN AND PRODUCTION?TRACK
The design and production track provides a broad foundation in all areas of theatre design and technical production, while preparing you for graduate study or entry-level professional work in scenic, costume, lighting, sound or makeup design, or technical direction, construction and support. Undergraduate students often design faculty-directed productions or work in lead technical positions on them. Our graduates have won regional awards, work in many high-level theatres, including Broadway, are accepted into some of the finest graduate programs in the country and own their own theatre companies.
THEATRE STUDIES?TRACK
The theatre studies track?integrates academic inquiry and performance exploration through a comprehensive study of the art of theatre in relation to multiple communities, from local to global. This program of study is well suited for students with interests in areas of theatre such as directing, dramaturgy, theatre administration, and educational outreach, among others. The well-rounded curriculum provides a strong foundation for graduate study or entry-level professional work. This track also provides numerous transferable skills for students who wish to apply their theatre training to other fields such as education, law or business.
