The program of Nursing at Florida Agricultural & Mechanical University provides the foundation of a liberal arts education as well as the nursing theory and science necessary for the full scope of professional nursing responsibilites and the knowledge base necessary for advanced education in specialized clinical practice.
The knowledge base in nursing theory and science is applied through extensive clinical experinces in medical/health care delivery systems that range in size and services from large area hospitals, to community clinics, to homes. Your nursing courses are structured so that you are concurrently enroll in a nursing theory course focused on understanding the science of health and disease conditions and a clinical course that permits your integration application of the science in the clinical setting.
Baccalaureate education in nursing provides the basic foundation for entry into program practice. When you graduate with a Baccalaureate of Science degree, you are prepared as a generalist capable of functioning in any number of beginning leadership roles in a variety of medical/health delivery systems.
